Stooges in HD! Very good work on this Bluray. This is a fairly pricey Blu-Ray, I think your Stooges money would be better spent buying the 1952 - 1954 Collection. It's a lot like looking at a View Master - the 3D effects are good, but sometimes a bit flat - like looking at a diorama. The 3D conversion adds a lot of depth, but not the jump-out-into-the-theater effect that characterized 1950's 3D movies. To be fair, the colorization process was done well. The four shorts are the "Public Domain" shorts (Disorder in the Court, Brideless Groom, Sing a Song of Six Pants, and Malice in the Palac e) which have been colorized, and 2D - 3D converted. The 3D Classics -The Three Stooges in 3D is NOT original 3D material. (If buying a used copy be sure the glasses are included!) These 2 shorts are available in the 3 Stooges Collection Volume 7 - which includes 2 pairs of 3D Glasses. The 3D effects were "over the top" as Moe threw everything he could lay his hands on into the audience! The audience also suffers from an eye-poke! Great fun! They were produced in Anaglyph 3D - but instead of the traditional Red/Blue format, these movies utilized Green/Magenta. The 3 Stooges (Larry, Moe & Shemp) starred in 2 3D Movies - "Spooks" and "Pardon My Backfire", both in 1953.
